Agafay Desert, Marrakech

Agafay is a rocky desert about 30 to 45 minutes south-west of Marrakech — no sand dunes, but wide open hills with the Atlas Mountains as a backdrop. It is the closest desert landscape to the city and the easiest to fit into a short stay.
